A visit to Stanthorpe in early autumn

Assalamualaikum

Autumn has arrived. Again. Our second autumn in Brisbane. Alhamdulillah atas segala nikmat yang Allah kurniakan. Masih berpeluang melihat kebesaran Allah SWT. InshaAllah setiap nikmat ini akan kami gunakan untuk membaiki iman dan kecintaan padaNya.

Of all the seasons, autumn is still my favourite. Special. I love the cool breeze wind, I love the colours, I love everything about it. Alhamdulillah. Kat Malaysia tak merasa, tapi tak bermakna saya lebih suka Australia dari Malaysia. Malaysia is always special in my heart, no matter what.

Early autumn this year, we went to Stanthorpe. Stanthorpe is a town situated in the South East Queensland, Australia. The town lies near the New South Wales border, which is about 223 km from Brisbane. The area surrounding the town is known as the Granite Belt. Macam belajar Geografi pulak! That's how it is basically, susah juga nak cerita kat mana Stanthorpe ni...:)). Senang cerita, this small town lies somewhere in the countryside.

First time nampak kedai tulis "Supermarket". Kat Brisbane takde pun..
All the way to Stanthorpe, teringat pulak cerita zaman saya budak-budak, "little house on the prairie". Actually myself wasn't really remember how was the story, but I could remember the scenery. Padang rumput, lembu, biri-biri (ada ke dalam cerita tu?), and the country side. SubhanAllah, memang cantik. I wonder why, the cows and sheep are all so cute, unlike in Malaysia. Or maybe they seemed so cute because of the surrounding scenery? No. The animals are really cute, multi colours, so gemuks jugaaa.......:D

Then what so special about Stanthorpe? People go there for fruit picking, basically in February till end May. Apples, strawberry and grapes. Macam-macam ada....Myself not so keen about the picking, but more on enjoying the scenery...rasa macam nak duduk lama-lama kat situ. Brisbane? Biasa-biasa je, macam KL, bangunan tinggi-tinggi, modern, ramai orang...sedangkan saya suka 'kampung'...tak kisah la kampung kat mana, asal kampung. Di kampung nyaman, indah segala lah...lagipun saya orang kampung, so jiwa kekampungan dah sebati sangat...

Bab-bab fruit picking, budak-budak la enjoy! New experience..mana tak suka. Kalau strawberry tu maybe boleh pegi pick kat Cameron Highland, tapi nak cari apples and grapes segar for picking, kat Malaysia, di mana ya??? So...bawa budak-budak, bagi experience, bagi kenal pokok, at least they know pokok epal tu berkayu, bukan menjalar....:)).

Pokok epal

Buah plum

Kangaroo main dalam ladang epal....

Ni buah pear

This is cherry

Di ladang starwberry

Semua tahu buah apa ni...:D

Membawa hasil kutipan?

Black grapes

Cutting the grapes...hati-hati..

Kebun grape, luas betul...
Since it was still early in autumn, maple pun belum betul-betul tukar warna. Kalau mid autumn lagi cantik agaknya.

This is where we stopped to have our lunch....lapar!
Wassalam.
